The Udzungwa Mountains are a mountain range in south-central Tanzania. The Mountains are mostly within Iringa Region, South of Tanzania’s capital Dodoma. The Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, and are home to a biodiversity community of flora and fauna with large numbers of endemic species. The purpose of this trip is to show you the Natural habitats of Udzungwa National Park. Early morning of this day you will be picked from your hotel/residency in Dar es Salaam / Morogoro town and start drive to Udzungwa Mountains whereby after you arrive you will be checked in and start climbing taking the Sanje route to be able to see the 4 stages waterfalls.The Mountain Park is one of thirty four World Biodiversity hot-spots. Expect to see Primates. Udzungwa have 11 primates species whereby 2 of these are found no where in the world, these are Sanje Manga bey (Cercocebus sanjei) and Iringa Red Colo-bus (Procobus gordonorum). Also you may have the opportunity to see habituated Sanje Manga-beys, different endemic plant species, birds, reptiles and Amphibians, Butterflies, waterfalls, etc. When you come down you will start drive back to Morogoro town and upon arrival in Morogoro you will be taken to your residence and that will be the end of your day trip to Udzungwa Mountains.
