This dream itinerary is specifically designed to follow the great migration. With four nights in the Serengeti, you will be able to visit the central Serengeti but also spend some days witnessing the great migration, which could be in south (Ndutu) from December to March, or in the remote Northern tip of the Serengeti from July to November.

DAY 1
Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by a Kim'zebra Adventures & Safaris representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.
DAY 2
Tarangire National Park

A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Tarangire
After our breakfast we depart for Tarangire for our full day game drive in on her diverse landscapes. Tarangire with her nine vegetation zones, is peppered with ancient baobab trees, the largest trees in Africa, dotting the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River, meandering through the park, attracts an abundance of wildlife from elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, antelope to a myriad variety of colorful birds.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

On this, we set out for the world renowned Serengeti, home of the Great Migration and one of the seven wonders of Africa. Our drive today is spectacular as we drive up onto the highlands, and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Spread out before us as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti, a 6,900 sq. mile park inhabited by more than three million large animals including more than 1.5 million Wildebeest, 250,000 Zebra, and a Thomson Gazelle
DAY 4
Serengeti National Park Central

This whole day we will spend on a game drive in the Serengeti. During the short rainy season in November & December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south while during the longer rainy season from April to June they return back up north. This circle of life is determined by the rainfalls and locations of the herds might vary from year to year but our guide will know where to find the animals, where best to view them
DAY 5
Serengeti National Park > Following the Migration

On these days our fifth and sixth, we will rumble our way across the Serengeti’s vast plains in search of the migration. The location of the migration depends on the time of the year and could be as far as the remote North of the Serengeti near the border with Kenya, or alternatively, in the South, the Ndutu Region. Spend day taking in with all our senses this incredible Earthly paradise, exploring the park, its animals and incredible landscapes.

After our hearty breakfast a full day exploring The Serengeti National Park lies ahead of us with both morning and afternoon game drives. We will traverse the Serengeti’s vast plains in search of the migration. We will spend a full day taking in with all our senses this incredible Earthly paradise, exploring the park, its animals, and incredible landscapes.
DAY 7
Serengeti National Park - Explore a Big Five
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT

After breakfast, we enjoy yet another game drive in the Serengeti National Park and we may well spot animals not yet encountered over the last two days. The Serengeti is also home to the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. We rove on our safari till evening begins to fall when we shall return to our lodge for dinner and well deserved rest.
DAY 8
Ngorongoro Crater

Very early on this, our last morning, we descend down onto the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth. One of the seven wonders of Africa, the Caldera was formed about three million years ago with the massive explosion of a volcano that rivaled Kilimanjaro in height. After a stop for our delectable picnic lunch near the hippo lake and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, we ascend, at crater...
DAY 9
Lake Manyara National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Manyara
After breakfast we drive to our final destination. This relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha, is so named for the shallow salt lake which covers a good seventy percent of the parks surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons the soda lake is home to thousands of flamingo as well as over 500 other bird species. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon, replete with images of the African wilds to last a lifetime.
DAY 10
The Hadzabe Tribe - Cultural Experience – Back to Arusha.

You’Today you will wake up early in the morning and drive for few minutes to Hadzabe area to meet local guide. You will follow your guide until he finds the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true nomadic tribes in Africa. After some explanations about the tribe, you will join them in their daily activities. After finishing the activities with the tribe, we will drive to Arusha town.
DAY 11
Reserved for Departure - Drop off in Arusha Airport

The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch & Dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-10 and breakfast on day 11 of your trip.
- In case of a camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives and all park entry fees 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you(the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Mid-range to high-end hotels/lodge/tented Camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person $599
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day, Lunch and dinner on the last day.
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Post accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
