Safari Overview
This 2-day camping or lodge safari in Tanzania is a private or group joining tour with guaranteed departure dates and daily departures. This tour visits two of the best national parks in Tanzania, that being Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site. You can join a group at any time of the year. The safari part of camping is just like you imagine it to be. Safaris begin early in the morning when wild animals, especially the predators are active, stalking and hunting prey. The vehicles you will use for your safari are equipped with viewing roof hatches, large-sized windows, electric sockets for charging your phones and cameras. Our Safari driver/guides have exceptional knowledge of both the fauna and flora of Africa. NB: This safari can be done by replacing Tarangire National Park with Lake Manyara National Park if you wish so. Tarangire is especially a nice National Park during the months of July through November. If you wish to add an extra day you may be able to do both Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

A Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Tarangire
08:00hrs drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. Late afternoon depart the park and drive to Manyara for dinner and overnight at Tarangire/Kizumba Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 2
Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) and back to Arusha

Upon request at extra cost
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. The crater is said to have the most-dense concentration of wildlife in Africa. As such, Ngorongoro Crater has achieved world renown, and attracts a growing number of visitors each year. Even if time is limited this natural but accessibly small caldera ensures a rewarding safari. Later afternoon 15:00 hrs drive back to Arusha town.

Safari using Camping - tents are set up and taken down at each location and move with clients during their trip.
Budget camping safari using small to medium sized tents. The shower and toilet are usually shared.

The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch and dinner on day 1 and breakfast and lunch on day 2 of your trip.
- A camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives, Concession fees, Accommodation, All park entry fees, Government tax 18% VAT on tour fees and Service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you (The prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Camping or Budget or Standard or Mid-range or Luxury hotels/lodges/tented camps according to your choice).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day.
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
